Position : Psychiatric Technician Assistant
Job Description : AMFM Healthcare is looking for a Psychiatric Technician Assistant to provide superior care for our behavioral health clients in our Residential Mental Health facility located in Vienna, VA. AMFM Healthcare is a residential mental health provider serving those who are seeking treatment to learn coping skills for severe mental illness.
We count on our Psychiatric Technician Assistants to compassionately support and mentor our clients throughout their treatment program. We are seeking those who are passionate to help those in need and provide hope. Because our clients have varying developmental and behavioral disorders, adequate training will be provided to ensure that our clients receive the best possible care that we can provide. You will join and support a network of trained case managers, therapists, nurses, and psychiatrists who are helping us on our mission to help individuals with mental health disorders achieve a life of meaning and wellness.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with clients that have acute mental health diagnoses in a non-lockdown setting.
Conduct rounds for up to 6 clients.
Have basic computer skills and are willing to learn how to use an electronic healthcare system.
Observe, report, and document client behaviors.
Communicate and document shift notes.
Ensure client safety.
Make sure clients attend groups and therapy sessions.
Assist with the clinical and medical team.
Provide other duties from Program Management.
Required skills and qualifications:
Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check with the Federal Department of Justice (LiveScan) and California Department of Social Services
Current valid Driver’s License with 4+ years of continuous driving history without any major traffic violations.
At least 21 years of age
Minimum of a High School diploma

Job Type: Full-time (Part time work is also available)
Shift Schedules – flexibility is a huge plus (weekends and holidays especially)
1st Shift: 6:30am-2:30pm
2nd Shift: 2:30pm-11:00pm
3rd Shift: 11:00pm-7:00am
Pay: $17-$18/hr (depending on prior work experience and education)
