Founded in Québec City (Canada) in 1987, the company now employs nearly 1,300 people and owns over 50 quarries and 20 manufacturing plants across North America and Europe.Job Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the quarry operations located in Schuyler, VAAssist Manager in scheduling and coordinating work to tight deadlines and within financial budgets.Assign and verify work. Provide effective input on hiring and evaluating team members.Lead, coach, and motivate reporting workforce.Organizes the production cycle and the work schedule of employees.Comply with Federal Safety and Environmental Regulations. Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with health and safety legislation for all workers.Assist with maintaining all operating and environmental permits.Keep equipment operational to appropriate capacities by coordinating maintenance and preventive maintenance as well as repair services.Ensure proper and on-time training for employees in various aspects including basic task-training, safety training, operation, maintenance.Recommend appropriate actions to maintain and improve production.Document and explain production gaps.Create and maintain a good work environment by listening and communicating with employees.Ensure that the quality and specification of the product meets customer demand at each stage of the process.Education and Experience: Excellent attention to detail.Good computer skills.Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact with diverse people across different functions/cultures.High school diploma, Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree.Great problem solver, very well organized.Must be extremely adept at working in a fast-paced, ever-changing workplace.5 years of proven success in a similar role, preferably in a similar industry.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee discountFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insuranceReferral programVision insuranceSchedule:10 hour shift8 hour shiftDay shiftWork Location: One location
