Position : Ramp Safety Manager
Job Description : Newrest is looking for a Ramp Safety Manager to be part of the team for our Houston location. This individual will be responsible for enforcing safety policies, procedures and working conditions that affect the employee on the job. Direct and coordinate activities to provide a safe environment for employees while maintaining fast and efficient services.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSEnsure that all Drivers and Ramp personnel perform their job in a safe manner in line with airport regulations and traffic laws.Perform ramp safety audits and other safety audits as needed.Oversee new hire safety training and perform the safety training and ensure all drivers are properly trained before starting work.Track on spreadsheet and online the audit report and progress.Recommend measures to improve ramp safety methods and decrease risk.Proven experience as safety manager.Review accidents and incidents; conduct investigation with follow up reporting monitoring of the corrective actions.Must be able to conduct monthly safety meetings for all employeesEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Knowledge of airport safety regulations preferred.Four year college degree in relevant field strongly preferred or equivalent experienceMust have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience, and a high degree of attention to detailAbility to read, fluently speak, and understand the English languageQUALIFICATIONS: Must possess valid Driver LicenseMust be able to pass airport security clearance is requiredSolid understanding of OSHA laws, especially as it pertains to drivingJob Type: Full-timePay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per yearSchedule:8 hour shiftOn callWeekend availabilityApplication Question(s):What are your salary requirements?Work Location: One location
