(Do what you like, like what you do)!Here is what an independent external survey told us:97% agree they like the work they do90% are satisfied with the pay and benefits95% would recommend working here to friends and family95% would recommend the USO services to a friendResponsible for creating, maintaining and securing the information services environment that supports mission delivery, fund raising and a globally deployed connected workforce with 24/7 operations, while advancing the organization in the pursuit of its’ strategic objectives through technology.Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Duties)Plan, define, develop, and implement comprehensive information technology services, including but not limited to, infrastructure and IT project management initiatives that support USO’s vision, mission, and long term strategic goals.*Lead all aspects of Department budget management, including annual planning, to meet organizational ongoing and nascent needs along with monitoring, tracking and reporting actual to budget throughout the budget year.*Contribute to the planning and execution of a long term organizational Digital Transformation, advancing the organization’s strategic goals through technology.*Advance the prevalence and business impact of data driven decision making across the organization through the design, accessibility, suitability and use of a data analytics infrastructure and associated toolsets.*Maintain, secure, and support all IT resources and capabilities, ensuring hardware, software, and applications adequately support and advance USO’s short- and long-term needs.*In collaboration with key internal business partners, assess support and maintenance needs for the development and/or procurement of new technical solutions. Capture and prioritize needs matching requirements to capacity and capability of the Department for internally developed or outsourced capability improvements.*Prepare and present technology updates and briefings to USO Senior Leadership and Board of Governors, including but not limited to, annual focus areas, roadmap progression, and state of preparedness and protection against cyber-attacks.*Maintain all USO technology related policies and procedures. Maintain high level of preparedness for cyber security compromises or incidents using and improving the Incident Response Plan and related plans. *Actively manage multiple external vendor partnerships.Lead, manage and mentor staff of 17-20 responsible for capability development, network infrastructure, system operations and security, telephony, and help desk support for large global multi location organization.Other duties as assigned.Job SpecificationsBachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.15+ years progressive work experience in a leadership or management role, including 7+ years in a supervisory capacity. Relevant experience in a not-for-profit, military, multicultural and/or global organization preferred.Working knowledge of cloud based global technology service delivery including but not limited to Salesforce and other SaaS platform capabilities.Strong understanding of the principles and needs of maintaining protection against cyber security threats across an internally maintained and SaaS platform widely distributed attack surface.Demonstrated ability to create and lead high-performing teams. Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and achieve desired results through others.Strong interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to interact with USO Leadership, the general public and military audiences at a variety of levels with integrity and professionalism.Proficiency with developing long-term strategic direction and with business support functions (i.e. budget, planning, management) for a large enterprise or multiple business units.Demonstrated initiative/self-motivation, with the ability to quickly and easily adapt to changing organizational needs.Proficiency using computers and electronics equipment. Working knowledge of various software, applications, and programs that support database management, network infrastructure, system operations and security, telephony, and help desk support.Ability to obtain and maintain proper credentials necessary to access USO Center locations and facilities including but not limited to security, credit and/or background screening, SOFA status, valid driver’s license.Must be a strong advocate of the USO’s mission.Details: This position is located in Arlington, VA. Preference will be given to local candidates within commuting distance to the location.USO locations will adhere to local area and DOD guidelines regarding COVID vaccination/testing requirements.
