Job Description : West Florida Yacht Management, LLC is one of the Tampa Bay area’s premier management companies of recreational vessels from 25′ to 85′. We are looking for several Marine Maintenance Technicians with a variety of skills to assist in the care and maintenance of our client vessels. We are not purely marine mechanics, but manage the preventative vessel maintenance, care, and various upgrades on a long term basis. The ideal candidate must detail-oriented and enjoy being on and around the water.A Marine Maintenance Tech performs and manages maintenance, installations and repairs on mechanical components of various types of marine vessels. This may entail inspecting machinery and troubleshooting for issues and replacing components altogether to bring the boat to a safe and functioning condition.Skills/roles we are in need of include engine mechanics of varying experience, maintenance technicians, marine electricians, fiberglass/gel coat repair technicians, and detailers.Required attributes include general mechanical aptitude, some vessel experience, work ethic, and attention to detail. Upkeep tasks include testing critical systems, cleaning, applying basic fixes to equipment and systems and ensure everything is clean and functional. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina and not fall in the water.Compensation can be offered through 1099 or W2 with benefits available after a probationary period and signing bonuses available.
