Job Description : Non-competitive Qualifications:

Two years of secretarial experience OR satisfactory completion of a two-year course in secretarial science from a business school registered with NYS Education Department or from a NYS Community or technical institute recognized by the NY Education Department as following acceptable Education practices OR a satisfactory combination of the above qualifications.
Duties DescriptionThe Academic Internship and Student Employment Offices (AISE) is responsible for coordinating all intern recruitment, onboarding, support and separation activities and works closely with the various units in the Division of Human Resources. Under the supervision of the Director of AISE, the candidate will be responsible for the following:

Assist with administering the Future Forward Internship Academy Program (FFIA) and the AISE Fall/Spring Interns
Liaise with Division of Human Resources Staffing services, other divisions, educational institutions, and community organizations to develop annual intern recruitment schedule and post announcements as assigned
Assist the AISE team with outreach and recruitment by reviewing resumes and applications, answering questions from intern candidates, draft recruitment materials and job postings for review.
Prepare summary reports for intern tracking database/spreadsheets
Track interns onboarding process
Develop and implement orientation schedule for interns, including FFIA participants, and paid/unpaid students
Assist in collection, tabulation and analyzing student intern data
Create tables, charts, and draft reports to document analyses and procedures
Assist with the review of onboarding documents to ensure they are filed appropriately
Assist with developing and coordinating schedules with the instructors and supervisors
Assist with developing FFIA schedule, coordination of classes and meetings with the students
Assist with ordering books and supplies
Assist with administrative tasks and other projects as assigned
