Job Purpose
The purpose of the role is to support Centralized Platform Operations & Governance for Value Added Service namely, Messaging Platforms, Roaming operations, Enablers and Regulatory Compliance platforms.
Key Result Areas/Accountabilities
Operations management of VAS (Messaging and Roaming) Platforms.
Service usage tracking, managing availability and KPI. Governing change, Fault and SLA management. Performance management of network for a high quality service.
Supporting projects team in new rollouts/augmentation and ensure gating process followed.
Responsible for resolving International roaming related issues and maintain IR21 of VIL centrally.
Should be capable of analyzing network traces to identify root cause during issues and recommend corrective measures for resolution.
Support business and RA teams in launching new products and leakage analysis from time to time for VAS &Roaming domains.
Perform due diligence in platform updates/upgrades and implementing bug fixes with minimal customer/revenue impact by utilizing high availability and GR. Finalizing rollout strategy by coordinating with all stakeholders.
Achieve operational excellence through continuous innovation.
Cross functional : Close coordination with Corporate Commercial team for any new product launches, CS for customer complaints or new initiative, IT for cross domain function, RA for any activity impacting revenue
Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience
Sound Knowledge of VAS & Roaming services. Extensive knowledge of telecom and IP domain.
Should have prior experience of working in Operations domain and managing various portfolios.
Should have at least 10-15 years of experience overall in telecom Domain.
Experience on managing VAS and roaming operations. Knowledge of SS7, SCTP, M3UA, SIP, MAP, CIMD, SMPP protocols.
Must have technical / professional qualifications
BE (E&C, E&TC, Computers). Executive program will be an added advantage.
ITIL certification will be an added advantage.
