Position : Asphalt Plant Loader Operator
Job Description : The Levy Group of Companies is seeking an Asphalt Plant Loader Operator to work at Schmidt Construction in Colorado Springs, Colorado.Pay: $26 – $30+/HR Depending on skillset and experience6 AM – 6 PM Shift, must be open to working nights/weekendsBenefitsCompetitive payComprehensive Benefit PlanDevelopment OpportunitiesResponsibilitiesKnowledge of aggregate material and asphalt plants.Must obey company safety policies.Operate and maintain loaders.Responsible for the efficient working conditions of the loader, including post and pre-trip inspections.Responsible for alerting servicemen of any significant problems.Maintain hopper levels to achieve maximum production.Maintain stockpiles and yard floor.Load trucks with appropriate material.Able to run asphalt plant during day and night shifts as needed.Assist with maintenance around the hot plant.Monitor operations to ensure that health and safety standards are met.Keep record of material or equipment usage or problems encountered.Must have the initiative, ability, and willingness to perform and assist with other job positions for job completion as requested.Qualifications3 Years front-end loader experience.Knowledge of asphaltMust understand proper stock-pile methodsEffective communication skills with operators, truck drivers, and the general public.Must have the ability to operate loader with or without no supervision.Period evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime hours are expected.Project a positive and cooperative attitude by maintaining courteous and professional conduct.High School Diploma or GEDPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSLift, pull, and push a minimum of 50 lbs.Bend, stoop, kneel, reach, squat, twist, and climb heavy equipment several times throughout the day.Balance at heights up to 6 ft from ground level.Be on your feet regularly and use your hands, arms, and legs on the job.Frequently able to walk on sloped ground and slippery/uneven surfaces, as well as working in confined areas and excessive heights.Sit for extended periods of time.Performing strenuous work under extreme elements such as: wind, rain, sun, sand, or other extreme weather and temperatures for extended periods of time.Work may be performed in an environment to extremely hot materials, fuel, fumes, vapors, dust, grease, and oil; as well as loud or constant noise and exposure to moving equipment.Who is Edw.
