Job Description : NYC based General Contractor is looking for a full time Assistant Project Manager to join our team!Job Responsibilities: Assist in managing multiply construction projects such as planning, directing, scheduling, coordinating sub-contractors, monitoring project cost, evaluating and implementing change orders.Draft and finalizing subcontractor contract agreement; contract review and administrations.Issue Exhibits to the subcontractors and monitoring insurance for expiration dates.Maintenance of drawings, specifications and submittals, distribution of submittals to Architects and Engineers and updating submittals/drawings.Assist project managers in preparing proposals.Prepare, distribute and monitor RFI’s.Responsible for procuring and tracking of materialsReview electrical, architectural drawings and specifications.Schedule and coordinate controlled inspections.Assist project managers with all ongoing issues including identify and resolve problems and schedule corrective work.Responsible for closeout of documentation, preparing closeout binders and project completion checklist.Track all projects on the DOB website form filing through completion.Work closely with expediting company and make sure the DOB package (PW1, PW3, TR1, TR8, DOB approved plans) is complete for each project and provide documentation necessary for project sign off.Knowledge: Materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings or other structures.Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.The practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.Design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.Machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.Skills: Proper management of one’s own time as well as the time of others.Use of logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.General Knowledge in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Plumbing/ Structural and Finishes in construction.Eye for identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options as well as implement solutions.Ability to monitoring/assess your performance and make improvements or take corrective action.Good at listening to and understand information and ideas presented through verbal or written means.Good verbal communicate of information and ideas so others will understand.Company benefits: Health Insurance401KPaid Time Off.Job Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $50,000.00 – $90,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingEmployee discountFlexible scheduleHealth insurancePaid time offSchedule:Monday to FridayEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Project management: 1 year (Preferred)Construction Project Managers: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: Multiple Locations
