Description
SAIC has an immediate opening for an Associate Software Tester to join our team in support of the High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP) Integrated Technical Services (HITS) Contract for DoD High Performance Computing Centers.
NOTE: This is a 100% virtual / remote position that can be accomplished from anywhere in the continental U.S.
Summary:
This position will serve an integral role on the Development Team for the DoD HPCMP’s Portal to the Information Environment (pIE) application, responsible for writing test plans, developing test cases, and executing test procedures to ensure system functionality meets organization standards and end-user requirements. This will include enhancement and maintenance development, testing, and deployment support for all tiers of the application.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop test cases, analyze requirements, and perform functional and regression tests
Write manual and automated test cases and scripts
Perform verification activities on work products using defined methods, procedures and criteria
Thoroughly document test processes and results
Support analysis of test results AND resolution of open issues and complex problems
Assists with maintenance, testing, deployment, and installation of an enterprise web-based Java application
Contribute to or develop technical documentation (e.g., Test Cases, Test Plan) and presentations
Use applicable methodologies, modeling/estimating techniques, tools, applications, systems, software and databases to perform assigned tasks
Adhere to established coding and testing standards and best practices as appropriate for the assignments given
Other Software development duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of experience; OR additional experience accepted in lieu of degree
Exposure to design, development and testing of web-based Java applications
Exposure to test tools and techniques, bug tracking systems, test design and execution, and test case management tools.
Knowledge of SQL development tools such as Oracle SQL Developer
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevSecOps principals
Ability and willingness to develop and/or maintain technical documentation, to include but not limited to Software Requirements Specification, Software Design Description, Architecture Description, Test Plan, Test Cases, Administration and User’s Manuals, etc
Clearance Requirement:
Must be a US Citizen and be able the interim Secret Security clearance to begin working on the contract. Must be able to obtain the full Secret Security clearance. SAIC will assist with the process of of obtaining the interim Secret clearance for the qualified candidate

Target salary range: $50,001 – $75,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
