The Position:
The Brewer’s primary role is the production, development, and testing of high-quality, award-winning, and unique craft beverages. General responsibilities include:
Operation of manual and automated brewing, grain handling, filtration, Co2, and grain drying equipment
Pre- and post-brewing equipment and facility cleaning and sanitation
Operation of forklift (will train the right person)
Lab work as needed
Log and record keeping
Equipment maintenance and reporting
Learning new equipment, procedures, and techniques

Reporting to the Lead Brewer, this person is part of the production team, working with other Brewers, Quality Assurance Analysts, and Maintenance Technicians to assure the highest quality of product and the greatest efficiency of process. Knowledge and skills needed to be successful in this position include:
Passion for craft beverages
Brewing theory and practice
General knowledge of beer processing and handling
Prior commercial or homebrewing experience preferred
Prior experience with process control systems, and ERP systems preferred
Ability to work safely with all materials and equipment involved in brewing and cleaning processes
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to repetitively life heavy objects, such as 60 lb bags of malt, beer hoses, or filter agents
Ability to handle heavy objects safely
Ability to work in a variety of conditions (cold, wet, hot, steamy)
