Job Description : Riptide Brewing Company is looking to hire additional production staff.What We Are Hiring For: Full Time Cellarman or a Brewer if you have experience. Come brew on a state of the art brewhouse and packaging line.What we are looking for: An individual with previous Brewery experience in production or someone that is willing to learn. Job Descriptions attached.When We Are Looking: NowCellarman/Packaging TechnicianCandidate must be a hard-working individual who can work efficiently, effectively, and safely withoutsupervision. A good attitude is a must as well as being able to share a workspace with others. You mustbe able to communicate effectively with team members and be incredibly detail oriented. This positionrequires being able to independently manage aspects of the brewing operations including but notlimited to: cleaning kegs, CIP of cellar tanks and brewhouse, package beer, yeast management, recordkeeping, inventory management, and offer taproom and sales support.Physical & Mental RequirementsMust have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties, in at timesextreme environments, as well as the ability to handle stressors of the position in operational situations.Required to frequently lift and move 10-75 pounds. Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop,kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, taste, smell, see, and operate objects, tools, and controls.Qualifications- Ability to work independently or part of a team. Be resourceful and multi-task – to prioritize andcomplete multiple projects/tasks and responsibilities without cutting corners- Knowledge of brewing process- Capability to understand, follow, and maintain SOP’s- Effective time management: ability to work efficiently at a fast pace with precision and goodsanitary techniques- Must be flexible and be able to change tasks and move priorities at management’s direction- Basic knowledge of proper chemical handling and brewery safety- High level of mechanical aptitude is a plus- Personable, positive attitude, honest, reliable, ability to work well with others, and responsibleare musts for this position- Strong communication skills, competent at following direction, and able to adapt to change- Must keep a clean work environment and understand the necessity of organization andcleanliness in a brewery environment- Demonstrates willingness to ask before proceeding with uncertainty- Be accountable for your actions and have the integrity to own up to any mistakes- and notifymanagement of them immediately- Enthusiastic about craft beer- Ability to record all required information accurately and legibly- Ekos software knowledge is a plus- Minimum high school diploma required, 1 year plus commercial brewing experience preferredTypical Job Duties- CIP of bright beer and fermentation tanks, hoses, and other brewery equipment- Mill-in of grain according to recipe- Cleaning and maintenance of kegs- Gravity, PH and other analytical measurements of green, bright and packaged beer- Dry hopping, fruiting and carbonation of beer according to recipe and SOP- Package bright beer in kegs- Filter necessary beers according to SOP- Yeast management – harvesting, cell counts, maintaining health- Assist in operation of canning line including loading bright cans, pack-out, CIP etc.- Accurate record keeping of green and bright beer volumes, gravity, pH and other parameters- Accurate record keeping of packaged beer (kegs/cans) inventory- Manage raw material, and materials inventory- Help maintain overall brewery cleanliness- floors, walls, tank exteriors etc.- Manage Tap Room cooler inventory.- Accurately fulfill & palletize distributor orders on time- Maintain, clean and troubleshoot draft lines & equipment- Help set up & represent the brewery at events and festivals occasionally as needed- Other similar and related job duties as neededThis is a hourly position that reports directly to the Operations Manager. In absence of the OperationsManager, you may be assigned relevant tasks by the Brewer on shift. You may be required to performjob functions between 2 different brewery locations; Naples and Bonita Springs, FL depending onproduction needs. Shifts are typically Monday-Friday, but you may be scheduled for a weekend shift.Shift start times may fall between 5am and 1pm and are typically 7-10hrs.Pay: $15.50-18 depending on experience.
