Job Description : Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Compensation Analyst!

About the role

You’ll be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and administration of base pay programs, ensuring that compensation systems effectively support the business goals of the company. Additionally, you will be a huge part in the yearly survey process. Bring your Compensation and Data analytics experience!

Responsibilities

Participate in ongoing job evaluations to determine appropriate pay levels based on market data and internal job comparisons.
Play a crucial role in the development, implementation, and administration of base pay and short-term incentive programs at Symetra.
Support HR and various other stakeholders by analyzing people data, identifying key trends and providing actionable insights through monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
Manage the compensation survey process from end to end.
Perform detailed analysis of up-to-date market data to ensure our compensation programs are competitive.
Provide regular and ad hoc reporting to support compensation related programs and to evaluate their effectiveness.
Support the planning and execution of the annual focal salary review process.
Prepare statistical analysis and data modeling of compensation programs.
Research, evaluate, recommend, and implement process improvements related to Compensation processes/programs.
Provide support and/or training to Managers and Human Resource Business Partners concerning interpretation of compensation practices, policies, and guidelines.

Compensation

Salary Range: $59,300 – $98,800 plus eligibility for annual bonus program
Your education, experience and skills

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Human Resources, Economics, Statistics, or related field.
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), or working toward CCP completion, preferred.
1-3 years’ experience working in Compensation or previous work in an analytical focused role.
Excellent written and oral communication.
Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills. Ability to manage end-to-end processes.
Working knowledge of modern compensation practices and trends.
Prior MarketPay and ADP experience a plus, but not required.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required.
Proficiency in Power BI or other Analytics and Business Intelligence platform preferred.
