Job Description : Critical Co-worker/Direct Support Professional – Union CityFull Time 8a-4p Monday- FridayEveras Community Services, Inc. is looking for professional, compassionate people who are enthusiastic about making a positive difference in the lives of the people we support and throughout our organization.Summary: Critical Co-workers support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as complex medical and behavioral support needs in vocational setting.As a Critical Co-worker you will empower individuals to reach his or her vocational goals and cultivate purpose by:Assisting individuals to complete contract work;Providing support in volunteer activities;Coach individuals in job skills and skill development.Comfortable driving agency vehicles (sedans, mini vans, or 16 passenger van) to transport individuals.Must be comfortable taking individuals into the community to participate in vocational and/or volunteer opportunities.This is hands-on work that requires assistance with personal hygiene, medication administration, and support in the community.Everas provides specialized, paid training for all employees in the Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) Certifications and agency specific trainings. Employees must be able to complete training requirements within the specified time frames.
