Job Description : Premier Dental- Dental Assistant (Honolulu/Aiea/Pearl City/Waipahucompensation: Based on experienceemployment type: full-timePOSITION DESCRIPTION:The dental assistant performs many tasks requiring both interpersonal and technical skills.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:Greet patients and bring patients back to the treatment roomAssisting the dentist during a variety of treatment proceduresTaking and developing dental radiographs, film and or digitalUpdating patient’s medical history and taking blood pressure and pulseServing as an infection control officerPreparing and sterilizing instruments and equipmentHelping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatmentProviding patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment proceduresTaking impressions of patients’ teeth for study casts, digital and traditional impression materialHelping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including orthodontics, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics and oral surgeryBreakdown and sterilizing operatories between patientsScheduling patients next appointment where applicableCharting for the dentist and the hygienists where applicableCleaning the offices as instructedJob Type: Full-timePay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceEmployee discountFlexible scheduleHealth insurancePaid time offReferral programVision insuranceSchedule:12 hour shift8 hour shiftMonday to FridayWeekend availabilityExperience:Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:X-Ray Certification (Preferred)Work Location: Multiple Locations
