Position : DEPUTY COURT CLERK I
Job Description : Are you an experienced clerk familiar with court operations? Chatham County Juvenile Court has an opening for Deputy Court Clerk I, and we need you!Job Summary: Under general supervision, you will perform routine clerical work relating to the operation of courts. Your daily tasks will include safeguarding evidence and attending court. Your customer service skills are essential as you will assist the public by phone and in person. You may be required to work on weekends and after hours. Your work will often require you to perform tasks under tight deadlines and stressful situations. Other duties may be assigned.Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, and two (2) years general clerical experience or one (1) year experience in a court-related environment; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. You must be able to type 25-35 words per minute. Typing and Clerical testing will be required during the interview process for selected candidates. You must be bondable.
