Job Description : Deputy Project Manager Fort Carson Logistics Troop SchoolsLevel: ExperiencedPosition Type: Full Time, ExemptJob Categories: TrainingSalary Range: $45,000 to $52,500 annually; Depending on ExperienceQualified applicants will be available to work on site between the hours of 0800-1700 Monday – FridayDescriptionThe Deputy Project Manager assists the Project Manager in day-to-day program operations, including monthly tracking, quarterly budget management, supplies and assets acquisition in support of the instructor staff and students. Ensures quality assurance and control that includes course instruction.Managed server training, including re-image training systems and system access management and password control, ensuring employee information assurance compliance. Provide IT Tier 2 support to the Fort Carson Network Enterprise Center, (NEC); install, maintain, operate, and troubleshoot all assigned systems; provide testing and migration functions, Applications and NEC supported services; manage the lifecycle of IT equipment; monitor and archive event logs in accordance with DISA and local NEC procedures; identify, schedule, and install software updates, patches, in accordance to policies and guidelines.Essential Tasks:Plays a key role as Facilities Manager, ensuring the building maintenance, sustainment, and monitoring of work order completions. Manages contracted equipment performance in compliance with work statement standards. Assists and validate produced monthly reports regarding expenditures, work hours and their dollar amounts. Assist Project Manager in overseeing that contract performance is delivered on time and schedule, and within budget.Ensures all assigned computer systems and automation capabilities are 100% operational with the latest system updates and software versions. Responsible for providing automation support and sustainment to the various logistics automation systems. Ability to troubleshoot and maintain Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMISs).Performs administrative duties for all enrolled students. Oversee Deltek Time and Expense employees, and manage and approve timesheet status, as well as charge and employee activities. Participates in instruction program improvement, aids instructors in course delivery, and addresses functional issues. Eliminates aged equipment, identifying their shortfalls, and secures replacements. Develops and submits comprehensive system work orders. Evaluates, interviews, and recommends all new hires.QualificationsEducation and Experience:Deputy Project Manager (DPM) shall have a minimum of three (3) year’s experience as a DPM, supervisor with a DOD Contract and be able to demonstrate complete knowledge of course standards and regulations.Clearance: Employees are required to complete the National Agency Check, SF85P (Position of Public Trust) upon start of performance. Under this contract may undergo a police records check and security screening at the discretion of the Government.Must have A+ CertificationAbility to provide Tier 2 IT support to the projectAbility to use Microsoft (MS) Office Applications (primarily Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Windows Graphical User Interface), Data/web based systems and MS Project.NOTE: The preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees with this classification.
