Job Description : The Heavy Equipment Operator will operate and maintain heavy, motorized equipment in a safe and efficient manner at a soil recycling center, while adhering to Company policies and procedures.Duties & ResponsibilitiesOperate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to Company regulations, policies and proceduresResponsible for the daily safety and maintenance of equipment, reporting any defects and/or maintenance issues to the Site ManagerEnsure equipment is cleaned as scheduled and/or required, including the removal of personal belongings and garbage from cab, and tools are safely and securely storedResponsible for daily safety and maintenance checks, including daily lubrication for all equipment as assigned by leadershipReport all safety incidents to leadershipEnsure all employees, contractors, sub-contractors follow all Company safety policies and proceduresCoordinate daily work schedule, transportation and site work with leadershipSupport leadership with shipping and receiving dutiesParticipate in Health & Safety meetingsPerform other job-related duties as assignedRequirementsMinimum of one (1) year heavy equipment operation experienceGFL Environmental is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
