Position : Help Desk Level II – Hardware Installation Technician
Job Description : Description: Candidate will provide desk side user assistance to resolve software and hardware problems that cannot be resolved remotely by Defense Health Administration (DHA) support teams.Performance Location: Falls Church, VA. Hours of operation are from 7AM to 6PM Monday through Friday excluding federal holidays. Work shifts include 7AM to 4PM, 8AM to 5PM or 9AM to 6PM with a one-hour break.Certification/Clearance Requirement: Candidates must have a IAT II certification and clearance for a Public Trust position.Essential Functions and Job ResponsibilitiesDesk Site Support. The successful candidate’s core responsibilities will include, but not to be limited to providing second-tier support to end-users for LAN, WAN, wireless LAN, software, hardware, network, administrative, and projects as approved for systems supporting primarily Non-Classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet) systems with support provided for CLASSIFIED Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET) network connectivity or desktops as needed in support of SIPRNET operations. Additionally, duties include but are not limited to:Maintain workstation/laptop operational baselines through established processes and procedures;Hardware support to include ON SITE Touch Labor, troubleshooting, integration, configuration, and installation of authorized hardware software and peripherals;Assist with all required equipment staging, burn-in, installation, and testing;Provide timely alternative support recommendations for equipment that has reached end of life or for equipment where warranties are no longer in place to support;Monitor and track Government purchased warranties for software and hardware that are installed in all DHA HQ Sites; andAssist with maintaining a standard operating system and software supported as directed by DHA Enterprise Support Teams.Customer Assistance/Walk IN/Center Tech bench. The successful candidate will provide ON SITE/Walk IN customer assistance Tech Bench support on location in Falls Church VA. This includes supporting Tech Bench service support requirements; configuring or reconfiguring workstations or other approved peripherals in ON SITE Tech Bench Locations; and equipment repair or tech bench services to include services for drop off of equipment for configuration, reconfiguration or repair as required.Other Support. The successful candidate will additionally provide VIP Support to senior DOD Government Civilians, Presidential Appointees or Senior US Military Offices or Senior Non-Commissioned Officers; Mobile Device Support for mobile Devices on the network; and Call Center Support for supporting elevated incidents requiring Deskside/ON SITE support.Job Type: Full-timePay: $24.00 – $30.00 per hourSchedule:8 hour shiftSupplemental Pay:Signing bonusEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Help desk: 3 years (Preferred)License/Certification:IAT Level II certification (Required)Security clearance:Confidential (Preferred)Work Location: One location
