Description
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
General office duties, including creating and maintaining paper personnel records, filing, faxing, copying, file rotation, etc.
Operates company switchboard, answers and transfers calls as needed to cover Corporate Receptionist’s breaks.
Creates employee identification badges.
Processes verifications of employment based on information in the HRIS system.
Completes initial paperwork for Workers’ Compensation claims. Files claims with TPA
Audits insurance bills and drug test bills, reviewing for billing accuracy, codes, and advances for payment.
Consolidates headcount data to produce monthly HR Summary reports.
Places orders for business cards and other company stationery.
Updates and maintains HR area of the company intranet, OdomNet.
Assists with maintaining compliance with DOT periodic random drug testing requirements.
Assists in maintaining Sales Agent Licensing with the Washington State Liquor Control Board
Assists with an annual review of employees’ Motor Vehicle Reports.
Assists with incoming document quality control.
Assists with the publication of employee newsletter.
Assists with internal and external correspondence.
Assists with special projects.
Participate in HR staff meetings.
Look for and suggest new ways to improve processes and procedures.
Other duties as they are assigned.
Job Requirements
BS or BA in Human Resources Management or related field.
HR experience is helpful, but not required.
Working knowledge of an HRIS system preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and the general public.
