Job Description : 2021-2022 School YearMULTIMEDIA SPECIALISTPart-time communications and multimedia specialist$30 – $40 per hourResponsibilities and Duties: Design, create and produce videos, social media and web content, and special projects for marketing, communications, recruitment and special events using sound, video and other multimedia tools.Collaboratively support the brand of the Great Valley School District by using photography and videography.Provide for storage and proper care and maintenance of video (and photo) equipment.Perform other duties as assigned.Reports to: Director, Communications and OutreachGVSD is seeking a part-time (25 hours per week) multimedia specialist to perform a variety of tasks with a high degree of creativity and latitude. The specialist will work as an integral member of the Communications and Outreach team as a multimedia storyteller. Must be available for occasional weekend and evening assignments.Qualifications: Required: A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or a combination of experience dealing with digital media and/or completion of a related educational degree equal to four years is required. Proficiency in all aspects of photo and video production and strong writing and editing skills required.Preferred: Experience with Adobe Create Suite, Final Cut Pro, Blackboard Content Management System, Canva, and familiarity with social media platforms is preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter and proven team-player who can develop and maintain collaborative relationships, prioritize efficiently, and proactively solve problems. The successful candidate must be creative, tech savvy and possess excellent communication skills. Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems, and Microsoft Office are also required. The Communication and Multimedia Specialist must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting, effectively cross-manage multiple projects simultaneously with a great deal of accuracy, high level of quality and keen attention to detail. This position must work well with students, faculty and staff at all levels within a diverse collaborative environment.
