Job Description : We are Peninsula Hearing. We are looking for an office manager/audiology assistant to be a part of our team, located in our office in Poulsbo, WA. To help you decide why Peninsula Hearing is a great place to work, here is some information about the company and who we are looking for…Who is Peninsula Hearing?Peninsula Hearing is an established and growing hearing healthcare practice in beautiful and historic Port Townsend & Poulsbo – both are cool places. Don’t you think? Peninsula Hearing was founded because of a difficult life lesson experienced by the founder -Dr. Megan Nightingale – she learned the importance of hearing health’s impact on people’s overall wellness. Because of this experience, Peninsula Hearing has been serving our communities for 30+ years. Our patient care philosophy is simple:Peninsula Hearing Team Members are experts in the hearing industryWe use our expertise to build rapport with our patients, so we can effectively guide our patients through their hearing wellness journeyWho is the ideal candidate for Peninsula Hearing? To be successful in this role, we feel it requires a unique person – Is that you? This is a hybrid position, part office manager (OM) and part audiology assistant (AA). You must be comfortable with a constant shift in your day-to-day tasks. Along with the variety in the responsibility, your ability to work with your team (audiologists, front desk, and visitors) is critical. Because this is the basis of our philosophy that makes the clinic successful – “we are experts in the hearing industry” because we learn to work well with each other. Lastly – your ability to work with our patients is essential and again part of our philosophy. You will have patients walk in the door and tell you that the whole world is crashing down because their hearing aids are not working. Because to some patients – it is. Hearing is part of one’s health. If they are not able to hear, they are detached from the world. Your ability to understand these types of situations and your ability to care for our patients matters every time it happens.A typical day in this roleLet’s break down the role so you can decide if this is a good role for you:The OM responsibilities can range from managing the inventory of ordered hearing aids to be distributed to the respective clinic locations or using various computer applications in the clinic, like Sycle.net where various patient information is located. You will also be working with various managed care programs like The Veterans Administration or Tru-Hearing. These examples are just a preview of the role. If invited for an interview we can discuss more in detail. Now, the AA responsibilities. This role has a bit of a technical scope. You will be working on hearing aids ranging from cleaning, troubleshooting, teaching patients how to change batteries, minor repairs. It would be AWESOME if you have experience being an AA and have done some of this work. If you do not, but you are willing and able to learn – let’s talk. Guess what – we can train you. This is part of how we support you as a team member – we do train and develop. Now – if this role sounds interesting to you, let’s talk. Again, this is just a preview of the role. Hopefully gives you a flavor of who we are as a clinic. Please send your resume to us so we can start the conversation.Job Type: Full-timeSchedule:Monday to FridayWork Location: One location
