DESCRIPTION :
Makes community connections, enrolls Senior Health Members, assists with presentations on health and aging, assists with screenings, and makes appropriate referrals. Works as team member with office and community-based staff. Represents NBIMC and the CGHC to a variety of community groups.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Excellent interpersonal skills relating to diverse urban seniors. Basic literacy and recordkeeping skills. Must have access to a car and hold a current NJ driver s license. Familiar with Newark and the surrounding communities. Basic computer skills. Experience working with the public. Experience working or coping with issues of health and aging.Candidates who do not possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent will be provided the opportunity to enroll in a GED/HSEA program at time of hire as a condition of employment. A hired candidate will be provided one (1) year from date of hire to successfully complete a GED program and obtain their HSEA.
