Position : Patient Registrar

Job Description : POSITION SUMMARY: The Patient Registrar gathers pertinent information from patients and other sources, to pre-register and register patients for services at the hospital (Ancillary procedures / OB admits, Surgery, Specimens, etc.). Inputs accurate patient registration demographics into the Electronic Medical Record and Billing System, and determines correct insurance coverage order for each visit. Performs clerical support for Patient Access Services as well as Patient Financial Services, and performs receptionist duties for the hospital.
REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED
Starting pay is $16.023/hr – $19.075/hr depending on experience. This position is eligible to receive the Per Diem rate which includes 12% on top of your base rate of pay. Additional compensation is also available for night and weekend shifts. This position is not eligible for benefits including health insurance and paid time off.
