Position : Production Worker/Machine Operator
Job Description : A major player in flat rolled steel processing is looking for skilled Machine Operators / Production Workers to set up, maintain and operate various sections on a production line in a team environment. The machine operator / production worker needs to be reliable, able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. On-the-job training is a good way to discover how to do the job better, so you should have willingness to learn and improve. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried out smoothly to maximize safety, efficiency and productivity.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate various sections of the machine on a production line with the team (co-workers)Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be processed, dimensions and tolerances.Monitor the operations by measuring completed product to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, flatness tables, gauges, calipers or tape measures.Examine completed product for defects as the line is processing the material and sort / reject any defective pieces according to the types of defects seen.Record operational and quality data into systemControl and adjust machine settings via HMI touchscreensFeed raw material (steel coils) through machine for productionAssist in packaging of finished productionPerform various checks with measuring tools when required.SkillsProven experience as a production worker / machine operatorAbility to use measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, tape measure, etc.)Adherence to company health and safety standardsTeamwork and communication skillsAttention to detailBasic computer knowledgeHigh school diploma or equivalentCommitted to ExcellenceThe trusted name in flat rolled steel processing since 1985.With quality, precision, and cost efficiency – that’s how we roll.Coilplus is committed to meeting the needs of our customers by providing steel products of superior quality, manufactured in the most cost-effective manner possible.
