Who we are looking for
Nike Virtual Studios is looking for a Project Manager who is a multi-tasking self starter with a track record of delivering sophisticated digital experiences! In this role, you will work alongside an adventurous team of designers, product leaders, engineers, and data scientists to build expansive, immersive, and thought-provoking experiences for our members and untapped communities. The ideal candidate thrives in a creative and fast paced environment, as well as a deep passion and understanding of web3. You believe in the future of an inclusive, creator-led world that is enabled through web3 technologies. You should have strong end-to-end program management and organizational skills, and theability to build positive working relationships across teams.
Key responsibilities
Lead across the Nike Virtual Studios team to deliver experiences, services, and foundational capabilities.
Drive measurable results and influence others towards business objectives, regardless of reporting structure
Intake high-level consumer and needs and translate them into technical requirements and tactical plans
Lead and run ambiguous critical initiatives across many functions, including defining scope, identifying tradeoffs, and capturing educated estimates to support commitment and planning decisions
Formulate and drive impactful recommendations to tackle complex problems
Cultivate a culture of inclusion and promote a growth mentality among teams and collaborators
Holdcross-functional partners accountable when there is a need to scope flexible engineering solutions fast and efficiently in order to meet the consumer need
Who You’ll Work With
At Nike Virtual Studios, you will be a part of a core team of product managers, engineers, data scientists, community managers, marketers, strategists, merchandisers, and business development to move quickly in the space. You will operate in an energetic startup environment.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent combination of education and experience and training.
5+ years of proven experience in project management.
A track record driving sophisticated global projects from inception to reality and delivering business results. Bonus if your experience has been in web3.
A deep understanding of what it takes to ship software iteratively in collaboration with engineering, design, and product teams.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and proven experience leading discussions with senior leadership.
Passion for sport, culture, and the Nike brand, as well as web3, blockchain, NFT, and Metaverse design philosophies
Strong time management and organization skills
A pulse on the web3 community and will ensure we do right by existing creators, collectors, and those that have been disenfranchised from truly entering this space.
This role can be located in New York City or Los Angeles
