Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opportunity for you to join our diverse team as a Software Quality Analyst. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO. Join Space Systems’ Launch and Missile Defense Systems (LMDS) in its Drive for Excellence and work with our team of experts in developing and delivering systems and solutions that keep our world safe.
Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, six-sigma tools and analyses. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to software development processes. Investigates problems and develops disposition and root cause and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with Software developers, testers, engineering, customer, and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.
As a Software Quality Analyst on this team, you will develop, modify, apply, and maintain standards for software quality operating methods, processes, systems and procedures.
Roles and responsibilities:
Conducts software inspection, testing, verification and validation.
Implements software development and maintenance processes and methods.
Ensures measures meet acceptable reliability standards.
Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives.
Ensures that project and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contract.
Reviews software design, change specifications, and plans against contractual and/or process requirements.
Reviews include applicable specifications, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies.
Performs or directs verification of software capabilities allocations, traceability, and testability.
This requisition may be filled at either the Software Quality Analyst based on the qualifications listed below.
Basic Qualifications for Software Quality Analyst:
3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 1 years of relevant experience with a Masters’ degree; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Demonstrable knowledge of software development methods and Systems Engineering practices
Demonstrated ability to evaluate software work products
Secret security clearance required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting an agile and/or devops software development environment
Experience using UNIX, LINUX, JIRA, Git, and BitBucket
AS9100 auditing experience and/or auditor training
Working knowledge of SAFe
Experience with embedded software and electronics.
Knowledge of CMMI
Experience with MDA MAP Rev B and DCMA
Direct experience in Product Inspection and Receiving Inspection
Salary Range: $70,900.00 – $106,300.00
Salary Range: $70,900 USD – $106,300 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
