Regional Security Specialists are a part of the security and business resilience team that manages disruptive events through the ability to anticipate, deter, detect, and act – the key pillars of Google’s Global Security and Resilience Services. In this role, you are a part of the team at the center of security and resilience operations and help to monitor and manage the response to enterprise threats that could affect Google’s personnel and business activities.
From keeping Googlers safe and secure to managing disruptive events, the ability to anticipate, deter, detect, and act are the pillars of Google’s Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team. As a member of GSRS you will help develop a culture where safety, security and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google, including the creative process. You will help us continually identify, evaluate and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities and provide business leaders the information they need to make critical decisions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop programs that drive sustainable effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Field phone calls, emails, and chat requests using strong customer service skills while taking actions that support efficient security operations.
Monitor enterprise alarm monitoring systems, triage service outages, use CCTV for security investigations, and assist with access control functions.
Dispatch field security units using radio systems, communicate with incident management teams, and escalate security matters to various business partners.
Initiate repair tickets, create detailed incident reports, and pass down situational debriefs to security operations center teams across geographies.
Facilitate badges/clearance levels necessary to enter work spaces and support projects and programs within the security operations center environment.
