Not only is TCC responsible for the healthcare delivery in villages throughout Interior Alaska, we also own and operate the Chief Andrew Isaac Health Center (CAIHC) in Fairbanks – making us the second largest healthcare provider in the city. Contact TCC Human Resources 907-452-8251 extension 3282Department: Health Services Status: Full-Time; Regular IRC: IRC39937Salary Range: $30.06-$42.58Job Summary: Job incumbent trains, mentors, and provides technical assistance to village water plant operators, utility managers and local governments throughout the Tanana Chiefs Conference (TCC) region with operation and maintenance of their water and sewer facilities. Primary responsibilities include on-site training, classroom training, technical assistance with troubleshooting and emergencies, reviews and inspections of sanitation facility designs and construction projects for operation and maintenance considerations, and routine communication with operators and site visits.Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent.Valid Drivers License.Level one certification in water distribution, wastewater collection, and wastewater treatment from the State of Alaska preferred. Must achieve certification within eight months of hire.One year experience in water and sewer facility operation and maintenance field.Must possess working knowledge of chemical treatment equipment, plumbing, heating systems, and tools.Must have demonstrated electrical troubleshooting skills and possess a working knowledge of electrical equipment and controls in water treatment plants.Must be able to travel frequently to villages via small aircraft or by driving. Must be willing and able to travel on short notice occasionally to respond to infrastructure emergencies.Must pass background check pursuant to federal Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act requirements.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.Computer skills are required.
