Position : Retail Sales Associate
Job Description : Our Retail Sales Associates will assist our guests in all aspects of retail sales in our gift shop. This will include working in the coffee shop/bar, photo sales department, and gift store. While working in any area of the gift shop the position is responsible for welcoming guests and offering them assistance, answering any questions, and appropriately handling cash/credit cards during transactions. Position is also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all areas of the gift shop (sales areas, office areas, storage areas, and bathrooms). Position may also work at preparing the sandwiches and other items for sales in the coffee shop/bar. The gift shop is located at our Skagway location.RequirementsOur gift shop staff members must have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and customer service skills. At times, the position can be very fast paced, so you should have the ability to work well under stress and pressure. Good general computer skills are required and past cash register experience is a plus. Organizational skills are also a must. Position uses company vehicles, so a clean driving record is needed. Position is also hands-on with dogs from time to time, so you must be comfortable interacting with them. Need to be at least 21 years of age and have the ability to obtain your Alaska Serve Safe Card and complete the TAPS course.Job Types: Full-time, TemporaryPay: $16.00 – $20.00 per hourSchedule:Day shiftAbility to commute/relocate:Skagway, AK: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Application Question(s):Are you willing and able to work in Skagway, Alaska March-October?Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Work Location: One location
