Job Purpose:

Support the safety team and conduct worksite inspections, and other safety functions to ensure safe working practices and compliance with all applicable policies and laws.

Essential Functions:

30% – Conduct detailed safety surveys at job sites to ensure compliance with safe-working procedures and OSHA standards
20% – Inspect work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal safety policies and regulations
20% – Track all field inspections and report metrics back to management to show trends, deficiencies, etc.
20% – Attend Field Operations safety meetings to provide feedback for process improvement¿ Provide feedback and immediate training to personnel when issues arise Assist with any other safety-related matters
10% – Complete and file required forms, logs, and reports for governing agencies such as the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

Education:

Two years of College or Technical School resulting in an Associate’s Degree or equivalent

Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses:

Safety certifications and/or accreditations a plus

Relevant Work Experience:

No experience to 1 year in related field

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Current working knowledge of Safety processes and functions
Current working knowledge of Safety-related laws, regulations, and standard practices, including OSHA Strong computer literacy with HRIS and Microsoft Office programs
Ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality
Ability to assess customer needs and respond in a timely fashion
Ability to research and analyze data, create reports, and present findings
Ability to give and receive constructive feedback

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities

Work Environment:

Typically works in the field, traveling to various job sites. There will also be some office work

Miscellaneous:

Occasional travel required
