Assist the Wexner Center for the Arts Tech Services team in support of performances and other events within and outside the Center and across multiple program areas. Tasks and required skills include but are not limited to: truck loading/unloading, box pushing, set construction carpentry/staging and props, fly rail and loading bridge operations, lighting electrical installation/operation, sound installation/operation, video presentation components (camera, switcher, projector, display screen)/operation, rigging installation/operation, stage and crew management.
Must be able to follow direction from staff and road crew, work safely as part of a team, be flexible and accepting of changes in a creative environment, interact and communicate effectively with staff and crew. Experience in handling show production equipment and use of hand tools is required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. safely, work at height from ladders and personnel lifts as well as the ability to reach, climb and kneel.
This is a recurring intermittent position and corresponds with the Wexner Center for the Arts programming and events.
Duties/Responsibilities
40% loading in/setting up shows and events
30% rehearsals and shows
30% loading out/clean-up/restore
