In this role, you will:be an integral part of our dynamic team of dental health care professionalsrepresent the Pure Smiles brand by being warm, friendly and helpful as well as a team player and comfortable with changeYour primary goal is to ensure our patient’s and team’s safety by following the infection prevention control protocols. In your work, you must wear personal protective equipment such as protective eyewear, masks, and utility gloves while sterilizing, and follow specific company and infection prevention procedures when handling hazardous materials.We Provide: Full-timePaid time off, health, vision and dental insurance, 401(k) and 401(k) matching, paid holidays, continuing education and much more!We are Looking for Candidates Who: Properly sterilize all dental instruments and equipment following office workflow, infection control, and risk management processesPerform all opening, closing, and maintenance procedures as described in sterilization and maintenance policies, and maintain needed logsRestock and maintain an inventory of dental supplies and instruments to ensure a constant level is always availableMaintain order and cleanliness in the the sterilization area and complete weekly spore testingPerform weekly and monthly maintenance of Autoclave and StatimMaintain proper pre-set trays and ensure they are ready for anticipated procedures. Proactively review notes in patients’ charts to set-up for the planned treatment. Gather and ready all necessary materials and instruments needed for treatmentAssist dentists and clinical staff in optimizing patient flow. This will include restocking items, seating patients, assist with charting, ‘floating,’ and supporting other dental team members with patient careDemonstrate understanding and apply working knowledge of safety policies and ensuring safe member practicesMust maintain compliance with ergonomic safety standards; be mindful of posture and regularly practice ergonomic stretchesProactively work with the team to drive quality improvement initiatives following the mission and strategic goals of the practice, federal and provincial regulations, and accreditation standardsWork well under pressure, meet multiple and often competing deadlineEducation, Skills and Work Experience: Possess a high school diploma or GED, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.Possess (1-2) years of direct work experience in a Sterilization Technician capacity is preferred.Experience in practice management software such as Open Dental is preferredEffective organizational skills and technical understanding to carry out the assigned duties. Must have excellent attention to detail and be able to multi-taskCompleted CPR training and keep certification up to dateWork well independently and as a part of a teamDetail-oriented, put the patient first and possess strong analytical skillsAre reliable and able to build trust with patientsThrive in a culture of empowerment, advanced technology and educationEnjoy working on a team and having fun!If this is you, Pure Smiles-Tipp City is your match!
