Job Description : This is a Wednesday – Sunday position (11:30am-8:00pm Wednesday-Friday and 7:20am-4:00pm Saturday and Sunday)
As directed, the Supply Technician performs a variety of technical supply management work in a number of specialized areas of expertise (e.g., inventory management, causative research, material expediting, material coordination for special programs, equipment validation/inventory, material identification and cataloging, storage management, allowance document preparation, property utilization, etc.) related to depot, local, or other supply activities.
Assignment usually relates to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions which require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines.
Assignments require a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nsn, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines: an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and sufficient analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
Work is usually segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Required to bend, kneel, stoop, stretch, carry, climb and lift weights up too fifty pounds. DOL service Contract Directory of Occupations Category 01400 applies.
Qualifications:
Forklift qualified (Standup and sit-down types)
Military Receiving and Shipping experience a plus but not required.
Experience in Data Entry and warehouse management systems.
Must be able to lift boxes between 50 and 75 pounds, must be able to climb a ladder.
Minimum of six years of which at least three years are specialized in the area of expertise required (i.e., expediting, causative research/records reconciliation, etc.).
Applicant must be a US Citizen and eligible for security clearance with the Department of Defense.
