Job Description : Reports To: Foreman, Measurement
Summary
The Measurement Tech will have a primary responsibility for operation and maintenance of Asset Gas and liquid Measurement equipment for the assigned region.
Job Responsibilities
Calibration and maintenance of electronic measurement devices Troubleshooting of electronic flow data
Calibration and maintenance of liquid measurement devices Troubleshooting of electronic flow data
Basic working knowledge of Roc, Total flow and Spirit FlowX
Schedule and maintain GC sampling program for EFM measurement
Perform measurement calibrations in accordance with BLM, industry, and AGA measurement standards
Perform calculations for flow coefficients, gas volumes and orifice plate sizes
Monitor and report major changes in daily volumes in accordance with measurement/ management guidelines.
Periodically check gas throughput at key CDP points to determine correctness of production volumes at field locations
Order, receive and stock parts associated with metering equipment
Assist with reports on measurement changes and adjustments
Witness meter calibrations for oil and gas.
Observe and report all dangerous and damaged conditions pertaining to meters and adjacent area
Respond to call out requests and work irregular hours as needed for maintenance
Basic working knowledge of 12 and 24vdc electrical and electronic principles
Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of instruments, control, and electrical systems
Work and operate a vehicle safely in all-weather conditions to drive to oil and gas equipment located in rural/open range country
Periodic bending, climbing (to heights up to two stories or more), lifting (up to 75 pounds without assistance) crouching, pulling, kneeling, twisting and reeling.
Ability to traverse uneven terrain and climb metal stairs under all weather conditions using appropriate safety measures
Follow safe operating practices and ensure compliance with Civitas Environment, Safety & Regulatory requirements
Assure all work performed adheres to Civitas standards
Perform all other duties as assigned
Education & Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ experience with crude oil and NGL measurement
Associates degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience
Works independently as well as part of a team.
Extensive experience with Flowcal, PCCU, WINCCU, Roclink, Omnicom, Testit, Prolink
Firm, fundamental understanding of Omni, Total Flow and ROC liquid EFM
Fundamental, extensive knowledge of NGL and crude sampling procedures.
Fundamental, extensive knowledge of API, BLM, GPA, and ASTM rules, guidelines, and procedures.
Extensive experience working with, installing, and maintaining H2S analyzers, O2 analyzers, chromatographs, and other hydrocarbon analyzers.
Strong experience in the use of calibrators and/or certified devices to run checks and calibrates devices as needed.
Strong fundamental knowledge of laboratory tests and procedures used to analyze and monitor products.
Strong understanding of methods of measurements used for custody transfer.
Working knowledge of liquid meter proving.
Working knowledge of Coriolis, PD, turbine, and ultrasonic metering technologies.
Strong understanding of SCADA technologies and interfacing with measurement equipment.
Works extended hours, which may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
