Job Description : WeVenture is a new and fast-growing tour and experience operator that is raising the bar on experiences for locals and travelers. The company provides a wide range of experiences in nine cities around the USA and is planning to expand to many more cities in the near future. The current locations are Boston, Chicago, Denver, Las Vegas, Miami, New Orleans, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington DC. WV is also committed to sustainable and equitable travel and our experiences are all designed to maximize benefit to the local community while minimizing any negative impact on the environment.WV is seeking Dynamic Tour Guides for its New York City operation. Responsibilities include leading tours of up to 12 people to various food vendors, providing background behind historical landmarks and vendors, while showing how there is significant correlation between the food and history of the designated area, and the ability to make a tour unique and your own (we do not provide scripts–instead we provide notes and graphics and encourage you to use this information with your unique flare to give a tour).The successful candidate has an outgoing personality, loves to socialize with people of all kinds, and enjoys talking in front of groups. They will have a deep-rooted knowledge of and passion for the city, an eye for creativity, and a love for travel. They will also be passionate about sharing their city with guests, while being intentional about the kind of experience they want to create for the guests. Experience is a plus.This is an opportunity to work with a fun, fast-moving, and collaborative team who are passionate about travel, their cities, and providing visitors with a unique and life-changing experience. We want someone with that same passion to join the team in this role. Currently this is a Full Time role with a certain amount of availability required. Full Time Guides work roughly 30 hours per week on average. Guides make $30/hr and can also expect to earn an additional $800-$1000 a month in tips plus WV also offers bonuses for 5 star reviews and commissions for and sales referrals.
