Position : Truck Coordinator / Dispatcher
Job Description : GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe job requires individuals who are highly organized, understand the trucking industry, communicate well, and are dedicated to providing only the highest quality of service to our customers. Dispatchers coordinate daily transportation activity to ensure service goals are achieved in a designated time frame. Must use good communications skills and be committed to being service-oriented. Analyzes and develops efficient schedules utilizing various scheduling software.The Dispatcher must have a good understanding of compliance to DOT regulations. Dispatchers are responsible for fair treatment of all drivers, and be able to effectively communicates with field, CSR’s, customers, supervisors, and managers.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSEnsures Client needs and commitments are metDispatch drivers and respond to Drivers callsEnsure compliance with DOT regulationsNotify drivers of assignments and direct their activities to ensure cargo is picked up and deliveredMaintain information on shipments and ensures proper paperwork requiredUpdate data base on all dispatched moveOther duties as assignedOTHER SKILLS/ABILITIESKnowledge of local geographic market.Accurate typing skills and/or data entry skills.Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.Responds promptly and professionally to client needs.Read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents.Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.Job Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offReferral programVision insuranceSchedule:10 hour shift12 hour shiftDay shiftHolidaysMonday to FridayNight shiftOn callWeekend availabilitySupplemental Pay:Bonus payExperience:Dispatching: 1 year (Required)Customer service: 1 year (Required)Shift availability:Day Shift (Required)Night Shift (Required)Overnight Shift (Required)Work Location: One location
