Position : Administrative Assistant

Job Description : As Administrative Assistant, you will be supporting the property manager in the day-to-day tasks of managing the properties, as well as the long-term maintenance and development of the business.This is a home owned business located in the Park Slope area of Brooklyn, so discretion is of utmost importance in while in the office.KEY RESPONSIBLITIES & DUTIES INCLUDE: 1. Collecting rent from tenants, filling out a deposit slip, and making deposits at the bank.2. Paying bills3. Filing paperwork for tenants/ lawyers/ and repairs in their proper folders.4. Scanning the monthly statements and emailing them to the accountant with proper headings for reconciliation5. Sending and collecting new and renewed leases. You will become familiar with this as there are different leases for rent stabilized tenants versus non-regulated tenants.6. Ordering supplies i.e. ink for the printer, paper, pens, etc.7. Communicating with the super to resolve maintenance issues. This includes speaking with contractors to perform repairs.8. Showing vacant apartments, publish the listing with photos and description, and making appointments with potential tenants.9. Correspondence with city agencies (ie SCRIE, Rent Stabilization, MBR)QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLSHard SKILLS-This job requires STRONG communication skills, organizational skills, and proficiency with Word and Gmail Suite. Quickbooks is a plus but not required.Soft SKILLS-This job requires a person who has customer service experience who has problem solving skills.
