What it takes to succeed:
At least 15 years of ageStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to maintain composure in stressful situationsExcellent multi-tasking abilitiesAbility to train on and properly use protective gearAbility to stand for entire shiftComfortable working around water and animalsAbility to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditionsPrevious guest service experience preferredBasic math skills desired
FOR PARENTS OF 15 YEAR OLDS:
Ambassadors 15 years of age must complete the online application and after an offer is extended, must proceed to the http://www.doli.virginia.gov to obtain an Electronic Youth Employment Certificate. The Ambassador must bring this certificate to their new hire orientation Impressions class on their first day. Parents are highly encouraged to attend the orientation with their Ambassador.
Additionally, our 15-year-old Ambassadors while school is in session may only work on Saturdays and Sundays. After school ends, 15-year-old Ambassadors may work during the week but only 7 hours per day.
