Job Description : Job Title: Assembly Technician II
Department: Manufacturing & Production Operations

Location: Palmer, AK

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Assembly Operations Supervisor, Manufacturing & Production
Job Summary

The main responsibility of an assembly technician are to support heavy equipment assembly operations for the company’s product lines. This includes module assembly, unit pre-shipment testing and shipment preparation, and when applicable, onsite field service operations at customer locations.
Major Responsibilities
Assembly of major product components and finished equipment.
Ability to safely operate both manual and power equipment commonly utilized in a heavy equipment assembly operation.
Knowledge of equipment startup and testing procedures commonly associated with heavy equipment production.
Ability to operate materials handling equipment, including forklift and overhead crane safely.
Conduct business in a professional manner at all times.
Work in an efficient and timely manner.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

Other Internal/External Interactions

Interaction (daily, weekly, monthly, as needed) will include the following groups and personnel:
Manufacturing and Production Operations
Engineering
Customer representatives, either onsite at customer locations or during visits to Triverus facilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Preferred: Associate degree or successful completion of automotive or heavy equipment training programs. Demonstrated experience will be considered in lieu of the above.
Education: Completion of High School Diploma or GED is required.
Experience: Minimum of one years’ experience in a large equipment assembly function preferred.
Ability to communicate in technical and mechanical disciplines.
Ability to remain organized in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
Ability to communicate in technical and mechanical technical disciplines.
Work Period & Environment

40 hours/week. Overtime and weekends when approved by management.
Travel for service or maintenance of customer owned units will be required.
That travel will be identified on a case by case basis.
Travel can require ability to gain credentials/access to military facilities.

Personal and Attendance Requirements

Must have reliable transportation, or arrangements to meet attendance requirements for the position.
Must maintain a clean and professional appearance.
Must have and maintain a clean driving record. An employee’s personal driving record may be reviewed prior to, and during employment with the company.
Must be able to pass a background review prior to being accepted for employment by the company.

Benefits

90-day probationary period from start date. Probationary period evaluation to be completed at the end of the period.
Major holidays paid.
After probationary 90-day period, accrued Paid Time Off (PTO) will become available for vacation, sick, and jury duty.
Eligible for health insurance benefits after 60 days.
