Job Description : Marketing Specialist

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for promoting a favorable view of the organization and its products and services. Working under close supervision, this job assists with the development and distribution of promotional materials, while also gathering market-related information that will inform initiatives and identify areas of opportunity.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
Assists with drafting, compiling, and distributing promotional materials and determining ad placement.
Creates and maintains mailing lists for organizational mailings.
Compiles business results of recently introduced or enhanced products and services.
Gathers information on competitors’ development of marketing strategy, including analysis of pricing, sales and methods of operation.
Collects marketing data on performance of products and services, competitiveness, and trends in the marketplace.
Assists with primary marketing research and secondary marketing analysis associated with product or service launch and new product or service development.
Contributes to additional qualitative or quantitative research as needed for market positioning, such as pricing, market assessment, or promotional and advertising research studies.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Sr. Brand Partnerships Manager executing high impact marketing strategies for all TIAA, TIAA Bank and Nuveen sponsorships. This Specialist will assist in the tactical execution of sponsorship marketing plans and activate marketing strategies; creatively engaging prospects with the enterprise brand.
Essential functions includes:
Assist in the execution of annual sponsorship plans, including strategies, programs, campaigns & budgets.
Ensure sponsorship implementation aligns with brand direction for all mediums including advertising, television, radio, social media, press releases, internal and external public relations and other media outlets as appropriate.
Work closely with external measurement vendors to properly track sponsorship impressions and provide recommendations to maximize impact.
Execute social media promotions and stay connected with marketing trends to engage new audiences.
Assist in the execution of community impact campaigns/events that bring TIAA’s Be the Change mission to life.
Collaborate directly with individual business units to strategize and implement campaigns and/or sweepstakes and to facilitate revenue-generating hospitality events.
Potential Salary: $72,050.00 USD
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
