Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a Crater Packer 2 that is located in Charlottesville, Virginia.
What you will do:
Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping duties
Follows shipping practices and procedures to meet schedules and requirements
Packages materials by blocking, tying down, padding, securing, bracing, or other means to avoid damage
Uses standard hand and power woodworking tools and banding equipment
Prepares documentation for shipment
Loads and unloads trucks manually, or using a forklift
Uses computer system for tracking, logging, routing, verifying, and reporting
Comfortable driving material to other Northrop Grumman campuses, and some supplier locations
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
Comfortable with power tools such as saws, nail guns, etc. either professionally or as a hobby
Experience communicating through email
Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using SAP
Experience operating forklifts
Familiarity with MIL-STD packaging materials and methods
Salary Range: $36,400 USD – $60,600 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
