THIS RECRUITMENT IS FOR ONE TERM LIMITED TEMPORARY OR SPECIAL DUTY ASSIGNMENT

THIS POSITION IS CURRENTLY APPROVED FOR ONE YEAR

King County Records & Licensing Services (RALS) is looking for Customer Service Ambassadors (Customer Service Specialist II) who will provide customer service at King Street Center, serving customers who are seeking services and information. This position is responsible for providing an excellent customer experience in navigating services and help utilizing a customer queuing system for multiple public-facing services including the Assessor’s Office, Licensing, Recorder’s Office, Risk Management, Treasury and Vital Statistics.

Scope of Job Duties: To be considered for this opportunity, you must at a minimum demonstrate skill and ability to:

Provide accurate guidance to customers who are accessing County services.
Have strong comprehension and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot quickly and correct errors, be detail oriented and work with a high level of accuracy.
Assist customers with queuing system and help troubleshoot any issues.
Provide accurate information about services and information.
Direct customers to multiple public-facing services

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The work week is 40 hours, typically Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
This position is overtime eligible and may be mandatory at times.
This position is represented by the Teamsters Local 117 Administrative Employees union.
By contract, this position will participate in the Western Conference of Teamsters Pension Trust (WCTPT) contributions. .50 cents per hour will be deducted from members’ hourly rate. This deduction is reflected in the rates provided on this posting.
