Our Data Analysts love numbers and are curious about all things digital. You might know some basic code but you dont need to at the start! By the end of this program, we will train you in the Python and SQL you need to search and manipulate your data.
You may know a little Excel, Adobe or Powerpoint, and by the end of this program you will have honed the skills to effectively present your data. Well figure out what you know already and teach you what you need to become an expert.

How the Apprenticeship works:
As an apprentice you will learn the skills for the job while you are working. Its a full-time paid job, with 20% of your time spent learning and practicing the skills needed to succeed.
The apprenticeship is a 12-month program focused on Data Analytics.
There arent any tests. It is a competency-based program, which means that you need to be able demonstrate you can do the necessary skills for the job.
There is a brilliant training program included in this job, giving you 4 hours of technical skills training each week, plus an hour with an instructor who can help you make sense of things. There is also an hour or so each week of business & professional skills, including things like industry knowledge, campaign operations skills, communication skills and much more. To help keep it all on track, the apprentice will have an hour each week with a personal coach to help build confidence, get the most out of the program and grow into the role.
Day to day, an apprentices responsibilities are very similar to a regular professional. As a data analyst apprentice, your role is to gather and inspect the companys data and extract essential information to support various decision-making processes. As an apprentice, you get to learn this while you work.
As a data analyst apprentice you will learn skills such as analyzing data sets, using data systems securely, applying statistical methodologies, and visualizing data through infographics, graphs, or tables. The candidate is not expected to have knowledge of these skills or tools before the program.
This role works within the EMX Data Team reporting into our Data Scientists
Duties & Responsibilities:
Build, maintain and ensure accuracy of client reporting
Provide ad hoc reporting requests
Provide project admin support when managing reporting requests
Answer requests for information from internal team members
Will learn the end-to-end process of analyzing data and creating reports for internal and external customers
Maintain our internal Confluence pages (think Wiki for EMX) with updates and best practices
Prior Experience, Skills & Abilities:
Willing to learn
Strong attention to detail
Able to communicate effectively and work well with a team
Curious and unafraid to ask questions
Basic proficiency in MS Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
Tools used in this role (prior experience not required):
Data visualization tools such as PowerBI
Analytics Tools such as Adobe, SQL, Python
