Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Data Collector for the Graduate School of Education’s National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER).
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Administers tests that are conducted one-on-one in the child’s school/center.Schedules appointments with schools,Reports the number of completed assessments on a weekly basis to the Project Coordinator, and returns completed assessments to NIEER.

COVID-19 Immunization Requirement
Rutgers University requires all new employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the employee a medical or religious exemption. Employees who are not eligible for a booster at the time of an offer of employment provide proof they have received a booster upon eligibility and upload proof of same. Based on current guidance, individuals are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 two weeks after receiving the final dose of a vaccine approved or authorized for emergency use in the United States or a vaccine that has been listed for emergency use by the World Health Organization. Eligibility for a booster against COVID-19 varies and is explained on the University’s web site located at https://coronavirus.rutgers.edu/covid-19-vaccine. Failure to provide proof of primary vaccination and booster will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent, and/or up to 4 years of relevant office, clerical, bookkeeping, library assistant or related experience depending on the duties to be performed.An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the experience requirement.

Certifications/Licenses

Preferred Qualifications
Applicants preferred: graduate students, applicants with a BA, or current upperclassman undergraduate students with a focus on child development,
early childhood, psychology or related field, withholding an excellent
academic record (GPA of 3.0 or better). High School diploma or equivalent,
and/or up to 4 years of relevant office, clerical, bookkeeping, library assistant
or related experience depending on the duties to be performed.
Knowledge about child development and developmentally appropriate early childhood teaching practices is preferred (e.g. Teacher). Experience in
classroom settings and/or working with children is highly preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the experience requirement.
Ability to write, speak, and read Spanish, not required but a plus.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
The work will include administering assessments conducted one-on-one with infants and/or young children in daycare/school/center settings. At this time there is no vaccine against Covid-19 available for this age group. Data collectors will be required to follow all applicable Federal (CDC), State, Local, School District, daycare/school/center, Rutgers, and IRB Policies, Procedures, and Protocols in effect at the time of hire and as they may be amended.
All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of all applicable pre-employment screenings.
