Position : Director of Production
Job Description : Position SummaryThe Director of Production oversees all activity within the Production Department. This position will manage all Production Project Managers and Project Coordinators within the division. The Director ensures projects are completed on-time with achieved quality standards and within budget. The Director is responsible for the leadership of the company core values and mission. This includes planning, supervision, and training development for the staff. The Director will have profit and loss responsibilities with budgeting, revenue goals, and contribution margins. In addition, this position is responsible for the proper use, care, security, and maintenance of all company assets under their direction.Duties and responsibilitiesRepresents company’s best interest in interaction and communications with customers, employees, and vendorsSupervises and coordinates all resources to complete projects within budget and on timeInterprets contracts, drawings, specifications, change orders, and job conditions to maximize work production and qualityAssigns and adjusts work procedures to meet daily demands and schedulesParticipates in due diligence procedural review of systems and processesAdheres to and enforces company policies and regulations (safety, purchasing, training)Administers and ensures adherence to all safety objectives for employees and equipmentEnsures all assigned vehicles and equipment are properly utilized, maintained, and securedCommunicates and coordinates all paperwork and information flow with appropriate personnelConstantly looks to improve efficiency of operations and quality of work completedConducts monthly billing audits in conjunction with the Project CoordinatorWorks with Project Managers and office personnel to achieve timely completion of all revenue objectivesParticipates in bid review of all Production bids with Director of EstimatingReports on progress of all key indicators in an accurate and timely mannerAssists with terminations and disciplinary issues, training, coaching, mentoring, and developing staff to reach potential and established goals for the individual and the departmentConducts timely performance reviews of direct reports and take corrective actions when appropriateResponsible for weekly production schedules and company’s billing requirementsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree with minimum of 5 years of landscape construction experience and 5 years of management experienceAbility to work closely with others, provide useful feedback, and follow-upAble to create and read plans and specification sheets and use estimating softwareIntegrity in all business dealingsStrong communication skills both written and verbalKnowledge of the landscape industryAbility to meet all physical demands of the positionKnowledge and experience in the use of landscape equipmentAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, areas, and volumesPreferred QualificationsBilingual communicationCertified Industry Landscape TechnicianIndustry contacts with vendors, management companies, and potential employeesComputer skills with Word, Excel, OfficeManagement experience within the landscape industryWork EnvironmentThis position requires both managerial and administrative functions performed within an office setting. On occasion, this position may be exposed to outside weather conditions. Encountering wet conditions in both extreme heat and cold may be encountered during these times.WE OFFER YOU:Salary range $110k- $ 130k DOEJob Type: Full-timePay: $110,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
