General Description:
The HR Specialist – Talent Acquisition is responsible for performing full-life cycle recruitment of Entry-Level positions within Richmond Public Schools and partners closely with leaders and hiring managers throughout the district to recruit and retain the best talent. This position collaborates with many internal and external stakeholders. The HR Specialist – TA maintains an effective level of recruitment knowledge and business literacy about RPS strategic goals, culture and continually positioning RPS as the employer of choice.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists with the development and coordination of comprehensive employee recruitment, selection and placement programs for assigned area.
Sources, recruits and screens applicants to fill existing and future entry level
Assist with the development of comprehensive recruiting partnerships with colleges, universities, associations and other school divisions.
Develops recruitment presentations and conducts job fairs for potential applicants.
Ensures that all recruitment, selection and placement actions comply with federal and state laws, School Board polices and Richmond Public Schools administrative procedures.
Assists Senior Human Resources Specialists to determine recruitment requirements and projections for future position vacancies. Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s degree in a related field (i.e., Business, Human Resources, Human Capital, Marketing, Psychology, Education) or equivalent training and experience.
Three years of prior work experience in Human Resources, Human Capital or Staffing/Recruiting or Sales preferred.
Ability to effectively multitask and prioritize administrative tasks in order to meet tight or shifting deadlines.
