Job Description : Community Options is now seeking a Job Developer in Morristown, NJ or Bergen County, NJ.Salary range: $40,000 – $44,000 annually with a $500 sign-on bonus! (Bonuses are paid after 90 days of satisfactory employment).Community Options is looking for a motivated and flexible individual with good communications skills who wants to join a proactive and caring team that’s making a positive difference in people’s lives. Under direction, the Job Developer establishes and maintains activities to develop, locate, and secure job openings for persons with disabilities in need of employment; and markets programs and coordinates job resources.Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree highly preferredBackground in Marketing or Public speaking preferredExperience or passion for the intellectual and developmental disability populationValid Driver’s LicenseDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInitiates and maintains ongoing personal contacts with a variety of business and industry representatives and job placement/training agencies to promote employment options for participant placementMakes cold calls to potential employers, explaining the benefits and employment support services provided by programs to employers, including addressing employer’s special needsResearches Internet, online publications, agencies, and other resources for job leadsCollects data from employers related to job orders including job requirements and skillsMatches job skills with applicant qualificationsWorking in tandem with employment specialist, refers qualified applicants to employers and conducts necessary follow-up when applicants are placed in positionsParticipates in outreach and recruitment activities by coordinating and attending job fairs.Program SupportAssists participants in assessing their job skills for positions; (how to interview, dress for success etc.)Instructs in job seeking, application procedures, resume writing, interview preparation and job retention skills and attitudesProvides job search/career information workshops and presentationsArranges for interviewsMonitors participant performance received from employment specialists when job performance is not satisfactoryWorks with participants to improve job performance and gain necessary job skills or reviews other employment optionsMaintains contact with employers during the participants’ employment and reports results to appropriate staffPrepares forms and reports related to placement activitiesTracks participant activity and progress dataAssists instructors in the collection of educational materials as requested.A competitive benefits package is offered after 90 days of satisfactory employment.Community Options is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V#IND-SENJob Type: Full-timePay: $40,000.00 – $44,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible scheduleHealth insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceReferral programVision insuranceLicense/Certification:Driver’s License (Required)Work Location: Multiple Locations
