Job Description : Pay per union contract: $41.43 per hour plus $6.70 to your healthcare and $4.79 to your retirement for a total package of $52.92 per hour.
Lakeside Industries, Inc. is in search of an experienced Asphalt Raker to join our Anacortes/Bellingham division! As one of the largest asphalt paving contractors in the Pacific Northwest, we specialize in the quality manufacturing and construction of asphalt pavements for State, City, and private customers. OVERVIEW: The Raker/Laborer will use shovels and lutes to distribute asphalt mixtures over street surfaces, rake joint edges, and other duties as assigned. Directly reports to Asphalt Paving Foreman. Must have thorough understanding of all aspects of the paving industry including preparatory work, grades, drainage, aggregate size, job specifications, oil consistencies, and other details related to asphalt paving. Available to work extended hours, including night work.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Participates in and promotes our Company Safety Program.
Perform raking duties to industry and company standards.
Understand, meet, and plan grade cross slope and thickness requirements.
Laborer must be able to use and maintain equipment safely.
Understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees.
Perform related work as required.
