Summary
The Learning & Training Consultant – Faculty Engagement (LTC) reports directly to the Manager, Learning & Training. The LTC is responsible for ensuring external compliance across all state professional development agencies, consulting with School leaders on professional development plans, supporting GSI’s compliance with the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) accreditation and developing, delivering and evaluating high-quality early childhood education training content for faculty of The Goddard School®. The LTC is the liaison between GSI and professional development agencies in states with Goddard School locations.
Job Responsibilities
Lead Goddard University webinar training programs and faculty meeting resource initiatives.
Develop, lead and maintain the certified teacher credit initiative to ensure that The Goddard School® is seen as a destination employer for credentialed educators.
Maintain compliance with professional development agencies in each state with a Goddard School location.
Research, develop and deliver professional development content and resources aligned to adult learning principles, the F.L.EX.® framework, GSI and School accreditations, GSI initiatives, brand standards and best early childhood education leadership practices.
Manage and organize a training schedule that includes all modalities of training delivery based on GSI initiatives and current needs and interests of The Goddard School faculty.
Lead consultation efforts with Schools to provide targeted support to create professional development plans and effective training modalities for faculty.
Communicate with Schools in a collaborative, consistent and timely manner.
Communicate clearly, proactively and regularly with department-level management.
Participate in advocacy and public policy efforts related to GSI strategic initiatives.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development or related field
5-10 years of experience in early childhood education
3-5 years of teaching experience in an ECE setting
5-10 years of experience in training adult learners
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of and ability to use APA 7 standards for citations and research
Ability to use internal and external data to guide, define and evaluate training
Experience and ability to curate and present new research and ECE practices in ways to elicit growth and development in the learner/attendee
Attention to detail, organizational skills and proven record of achieving goals within a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Ability to solve problems creatively and proactively
Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships at all levels of the organization and across Schools
Effective communication, writing and speaking skills
Travel is required and ranges from 10% – 25% depending on assigned responsibilities
